Summer Band is a great way for students to get a head start on the school year in band. This three week camp will help you begin your journey in band, or you can continue with our Advanced Class! Check out the schedule below for your times. You can sign up right here or at VHMS.
Cost for Summer Band: $50*
Once you have registered for Summer Band, you can pay online by clicking on this link.
Once you are on the home page for Myschoolfees.com, sign in and select “Public Payments”. Select “Band” and proceed. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Lemen at VHMS.

Note: Beginning Percussion and Advanced Band do not need the book. Mr. Lemen will supply you with your book.

What Will You Need for Summer Band?
Your instrument
Note: if you play Tuba, Baritone, Bass Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon or French Horn, VHMS has instruments you can rent. Otherwise you will need to rent from one of the local music stores or purchase your instrument elsewhere. Please be aware that the quality of instrument you play will directly affect the success you have in band. Paying a little more for an instrument might make it a lot easier to play, and more fun!
PLEASE NOTE!!! PERCUSSION WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING: A PRACTICE PAD, STICKS AND XYLOPHONE MALLETS.

Make sure you get the book for the instrument you are playing in band. Percussion will not need this book. Percussion books will be provided.
